      1. I was embarrassed to tell you this part, Thumbup, because it sounds so Bah Humbug — but I haven’t put up a Christmas tree since December 2005. In 2006, two deaths in my family knocked the Christmas spirit right out of me. So, when I put up the tree today, it will be for the first time in ten years.

After I get the tree up I will come back here and tell you. Thank you! 🙂

          1. After I get the tree up, I will reblog this post with a short introduction explaining that I just put up a Christmas tree for the first time since 2005, thanks to my inspirational blogger friend.

A couple of years ago, without consulting me, my husband bought a little Charlie Brown type tree and set it on a shelf for Christmas. I didn’t say anything, but as soon as Christmas was over I buried it in the storage building. But that was a twig, not a tree, and it wasn’t my doing. So yes, it has been ten years. I used to decorate the day after Thanksgiving and leave everything up through New Year’s. It will be good to get back to Christmas again.

          2. Looks like the tree will have to go up tomorrow, some stuff came up that took all my limited energy for the day. But when it’s up I will reblog this like I said. You are a wonderful bright spot in the blogosphere. ❤
