How to spot a

Had lots of different jobs
Had been violent at work
Had been violent, period
A lack of respect for authority
Trouble taking criticism or suggestions
Imagines everyone is out to ‘get them’ or doesn’t “understand them”
Thinks nothing they do is their “fault”; it’s everyone else
Holds grudges
Has no friends and/or trouble keeping or making friends
Is angry all the time over every day, common things
Bigoted or angry views (political, racist, authority figures)
A drug problem (including alcohol and prescription)
An obsession with neatness, another person, guns
Recently or typically acts negative
Finds fault with everything
Thinks their negative or hostile actions and reactions are justified; people ‘deserve it”
Makes excuses for irrational or unacceptable behavior
Threatened acts of ‘pay back’ towards people they feel wronged by
Spends more and more time isolating themselves
Threatened acts of sabotage at work or against people
Displayed inappropriate emotions in any situation
Been late to work or appointments a lot
Difficulty concentrating
Blows minor incidences out of proportion
Are suspicious that there’s some ‘motive’ behind normal things people do or say
1-4: They’re OK- everyone’s got a right to get pissed off sometimes
5-10: Oh, not good. This person usually is insecure as hell and as a result thinks being “angry and vocal” is a form of control, which they feel they don’t have. This is their immature way of finding some actual “balls” and hence
most of their idea of “mature” follows this warped view of reality they have. Not necessarily dangerous but probably has a hard time getting along with people as they don’t get along with

11-17: Watch out for this one. If they feel they are finally “pushed”
or in their imaginary, delusional little world it’s finally time for them to ‘teach everyone a lesson”, they’re going to snap. A definite candidate for therapy…shows emotional problems and major insecurity issues, both not healthy to be walking around with.
18-25: RUN. This person is most likely suffering from a persecution complex and other psychological problems – they have a very warped head on them. It is a matter of WHEN they snap, not “if”. Unless they get help for their narrow egotistical view of reality, it’ll just escalate until they lose their grip. Some people who test as being this angry and out of touch with realistic responses
are mild/borderline schizophrenic and
believe ‘their’ reality is the only ‘right’ one; they know better than us all, they know things we can’t understand, they’re going to show everyone of us. They usually do, in the morning headlines.

  1. LOL!

This is, frankly, hilarious…. but, don’t freak out….

Most of it is psychobabble, pop psychology pretending to be real knowledge…. The traits described are all fell or done by EVERYONE, at one time or another…. and, using a check-off list to ‘diagnose’ a serious condition is not merely unscientific, but, dangerously so…. Some folks might read this, and, call the police on some innocent person suffering from depression, possibly due to an innocent loss, such as a broken heart… doesn’t mean they’re gonna go out one day with an Uzi to shoot up the nearest Mickey D’s where they met….

As a psychiatric technician, I dealt with, and tried to treat, many sociopaths, schizophrenics, and other people who had killed; some only once, others many times before being caught…. They look just like everybody else; none of us can see into a person’s true inner nature without a LOT of experience, and, study of the warning signs, which are all on that list; that is, however, NOT even a fraction of the list that REALLY must be used to actually diagnose any of those conditions which may lead a person to kill for reasons not connected at all to the real world…. We are much more complex than a simple list of bad habits, or signs of emotional distress…

If anyone really wants to see a Killer, just go look in the mirror…. Every human being alive will kill, given certain circumstances, sometimes out of their control, such as being attacked, or seeing a loved one in danger…. WE are all vicious, brutal predators; that is our nature, still with us in spite of how we dress, or use technology, or any other of the trappings of ‘civilization’…. We also kill each other rather indiscriminately, for the most trivial of reasons….

Sorry for the mini-rant, but, this is one of those ‘urban myths’, which can sometimes cause more harm than humor….

    It is funny, though….
